Philippians 1:6 carries a promise that resonates deeply: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Paul wrote these words to the Philippian church from a prison cell, yet his confidence in God’s faithfulness shines through. At Head on a Rock Studio, we’re weaving this truth into Tales of the Way, a Christian RPG set in Philippi, 50 AD, where Luke lives out the early church’s mission amid Roman persecution.
This verse reminds us that we’re part of God’s divine story—a work He started and will faithfully complete. In Tales of the Way, Luke’s journey reflects this promise. Through the Trust Levels mechanic, Luke deepens his reliance on God with every prayer, unlocking abilities like a burst of speed to escape Roman guards, showing the supernatural ways God moves in our lives. Even in the chaos of Philippi’s Market District, where soldiers patrol and danger looms, Luke trusts that God is at work, using him to share the Gospel and build a community of believers.
Paul’s encouragement to the Philippians also highlights the power of seeing the best in others, even in hardship. Luke lives this out by evangelizing NPCs—merchants, citizens, and travelers—honoring their potential to receive Christ despite the risks. This story is for anyone who longs to trust God more deeply, whether you’re a teen seeking courage, a parent looking for faith-driven content, or a gamer craving a meaningful adventure. As we prepare for our Kickstarter, we’re trusting God to complete this good work through Tales of the Way. Join us at https://linktr.ee/headonarock and let’s see His purpose unfold together!
